RBI approves tenure extension of YES BANK’s part-time chairman Brahm Dutt

yes_bankThe Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has extended the tenure of YES BANK’s part-time chairman Brahm Dutt till January 10, 2022.

In January, the RBI had approved the appointment of Brahm Dutt as the part-time chairman of the YES BANK till July 4, 2020.

The bank said in a regulatory filing, “We are pleased to inform you that RBI vide its letter dated May 2, 2019, has accorded its approval for an extension of tenure of Brahm Dutt as part-time chairman of the Bank till January 10, 2022”.

In January 2017, India’s fourth largest private sector lender YES BANK had announced the appointment of  Brahm Dutt as Non-Executive Part-Time Chairman of the Board.

Dutt had been a part of the bank’s Board since July 2013 as an Independent Director and has played a vital role by contributing to almost all the sub-committees of the Board over the past 5.5 years and is currently also the Chair of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee.
