The Reserve Bank of India has named Jose J. Kattoor as its new Executive Director (ED). The appointment will be effective from May 04, 2021.
Prior to this, Jose J. Kattoor was leading Bengaluru Regional Office of the Reserve Bank as Regional Director for Karnataka.
He holds around three decades of experience in areas such as communication, human resource management, financial inclusion, supervision, currency management and other areas in the Reserve Bank.
As Executive Director, Kattoor will be looking after Human Resource Management Department, Corporate Strategy and Budget Department and Rajbhasha Department.
Kattoor has a Post Graduate qualification from Institute of Rural Management, Anand, Bachelor of Law from Gujarat University, and Advanced Management Program (AMP) from Wharton School of Business, Pennsylvania. He also holds other professional qualifications including Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB).
