Chief Digital Officer of Private lender Yes Bank, Ritesh Pai has quit the bank and planning to join Netherlands-based cross-border payments company, Terrapay.
As reported by Moneycontrol, Yes Bank has confirmed Pai’s exit. “Ritesh has had two stints with Yes Bank, first from October 2004 to October 2006 and then from March 2015 to October 15, 2020. After a fruitful tenure, he decided to explore and pursue opportunities outside the bank. We wish him the best for a successful career ahead,” a Yes Bank spokesperson told Moneycontrol.
Pai second tenure at Yes Bank began in 2015 and he was last appointed as the Senior Group President and Chief Digital Officer at the lender. Prior to this, he was associated with RBL, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and many others.
Pai’s exit adds to the list of high-profile quits at Yes Bank post the lender’s rescue by a consortium of lenders led by the State Bank of India after the Reserve Bank of India imposed a moratorium on the troubled bank in early March. Earlier, Rajat Monga, the chief financial officer, and Pralay Monday, the bank’s retail head, too, left the bank.
