SBI, Apollo Hospitals partner to offer isolation rooms for COVID infected staff and family

The State Bank of India (SBI) has partnered with leading healthcare provider Apollo Hospitals in a bid to offer isolation rooms for its COVID-19 infected asymptomatic staff and their family members, due to the nationwide reported shortage of medical beds across metro centres, as reported by a media house.

SBI, Apollo Hospitals partner to offer isolation rooms for COVID infected staff and familyAs reported by ET BFSI, the public sector lender has joined hands with the healthcare provider for the well-being of its staffs in  New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Mumbai, who can make use of the hospital’s tie-up with Ginger, Lemontree and OYO hotels for isolation rooms.

The memorandum has been inked by the Chief General Manager- Human Resources of the banknotes that staff will be initially will have to pay for the facility which can be later claimed for reimbursement, under the “100 percent reimbursement scheme meant for staff and family members”.

 As per Apollo Hospital’s agreement for refurbishing hotels into isolation, the daily tariff for SBI’s employees would fall between Rs 1500 to Rs 4500, which includes Medical Supervision along with other facilities.

Addressed to the Chief General Manager’s of SBI’s local branches in Chennai, Maharashtra, Mumbai Metro, Ahmedabad and New Delhi, the memorandum further directed the notice to be circulated amongst staff members under their heads, “to ensure that they do not face the problem of non-availability of beds in the event of being tested COVID positive.”
