SBI unveils Doorstep SBI ATM Service for Senior Citizens

In a bid to help the senior Citizens to deal with the pandemic and avoid long queues at the ATM, India’s largest public sector bank SBI has unveiled a unique doorstep ATM service. This new ATM service will offer help during urgent need of cash. For using this service, the user won’t need to rush to bank ATMs or visit a bank branch. One can avail the service by just sending a Whatsapp message to the bank’s number for the purpose.

The service has been initially launched in Lucknow and if successful it shall be unveiled in other cities too. Ajay Kumar Khanna, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Lucknow Circle gave the information pertaining to the decision to launch this SBI phone call and SBI Whatsapp service via his official twitter handle.

During the Covid-19 outbreak, SBI Bank has also waived off SBI SMS banking charges as well as charges levied on the non-maintenance of minimum balance.

The service will primarily cater to the needs of senior citizens who can’t go out during the pandemic.
