Largest public sector bank in the country the State Bank of India (SBI) has launched its own Artificial Intelligence powered Chatbot that will handle customer queries by offering information on the bank’s wide range of products and services.
Named as SIA, the chatbot is currently undergoing beta testing and learning to verify the answers to the questions asked.
SIA is powered to reply to the customer queries pertaining to home loans, education loans, car loans, personal loans, recurring deposits, term deposits, etc.
“Our digital platforms like SBI inTouch are widely using bots and artificial intelligence such as IBM Watson, to perform a variety of jobs, especially in improving customer experience,” said SBI.
The bank revealed that over 80 per cent of its transactions are done without any assistance from the branch and any SBI employee.
