Share market update: Bank shares trading on mixed note; YES Bank jumps 5 percent

The Nifty Bank index was trading at 0.38 percent lower at 32,001.35.

 Bank shares were trading on a mixed note in the morning session reported on Friday.

Shares of IDFC First Bank NSE 6.43% (up 5.19 percent), YES Bank (up 4.71 percent) , Bank of Baroda NSE 0.38% (up 0.56 percent) and Axis Bank (up 0.37 percent) were a few among the top risers.

Share market updateWhile ICICI Bank (down 1.06 percent ) , Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 1.01 percent ) , State Bank of India (down 0.89 percent ) and HDFC Bank (down 0.64 percent ) lost the ,most in the index.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.38 per centdown at 32,001.35 at around 09:50 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 48.90 points at 12,102.25, while the BSE Sensex went down at 04.56 points at 40,925.61.

23 out of Ae 50 stocks in the Nifty index were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.

Shares of IDFC First Bank,Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Bharti Infratel, L&T Fin Holding, Bank of Baroda, Zee Entertainment, SAIL and NBCC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
