E-commerce platform Snapdeal has joined hands with banks for promoting the usage of digital payments through credit/debit cards and wallets. Snapdeal customers who will opt for online purchases for next 12 months will get discounts worth Rs 100 crore as cash-back or instant discounts of up to 25 per cent.
In a bid to enable this offer, Snapdeal has partnered with 12 banks namely HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, Citibank, American Express, Axis Bank, HSBC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, YES Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, IndusInd Bank, Federal Bank and also two digital wallets- FreeCharge and MobiKwik.
As per the partnership, all the brands would be launching promotions everyday, starting from next month. The offers and discounts will be wholly funded by the banks and wallet firms.
These benefits will be offered in addition to other promotions that Snapdeal will be running throughout the year.
Besides the partnership with banks and digital wallets, Snapdeal has also collaborated with Visa to assist the cardholders in adapting digital payments.
