The Indian markets showed some signs of recovery after reopening. The S&P BSE Sensex was hanging for a while over 1000 points down at 31,670 levels while the Nifty was up over 400 points from intra-day lows at 9,100 levels, down 495 points, or 5.16 percent.
Earlier, trading was on halt for 45 minutes as the Nifty50 index faced a 10 percent lower circuit on Friday. The index was down for around 1,000 points, or 11 percent, at 8,530 levels. The S&P BSE Sensex slipped over 3300 points, or 10.3 percent, at 29,390 levels.
