Taposh Saha Appointed Senior Vice President – Information Technology at HDFC Bank

HDFC Bank has appointed Taposh Saha as Senior Vice President – Information Technology, strengthening its leadership as the bank accelerates its digital transformation and enterprise technology modernisation initiatives.

In his new role, Saha will lead the bank’s IT function and be responsible for driving technology strategy, digital transformation programmes, and system modernisation across the organisation. His mandate includes strengthening core technology platforms, enhancing enterprise IT capabilities, and supporting the bank’s long-term growth and innovation agenda.

Saha brings with him strong experience in enterprise IT, banking technology, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives. Over the course of his career, he has worked on complex technology programmes focused on modernising systems, improving operational efficiency, and enabling business agility through technology-led solutions. His expertise is expected to play a key role in supporting HDFC Bank’s focus on scalable, secure, and resilient technology infrastructure.

The appointment comes at a time when banks are increasingly investing in advanced digital platforms, automation, cloud technologies, data analytics, and cybersecurity to meet evolving customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Technology leadership has become central to enabling seamless customer experiences, improving risk management, and supporting new digital banking use cases.
