Cab aggregator Uber has finally appointed Dara Khosrowshahi as its new Chief Executive Officer.The Company made this announcement via an official email sent to its employees on late Tuesday.
Khosrowshahi will be available at the Uber’s headquarters in San Francisco for meeting the workers.
“We are delighted to announce that Uber’s Board has voted unanimously to appoint Dara Khosrowshahi to be our new CEO,” read the email sent to the employees by Uber.
Khosrowshahi was earlier associated with Expedia and the brand’s success in terms of global travels is accredited to him.
His appointment is expected to be driving the company to a glorious route and shook way the jitters of all the controversies.
Khosrowshahi is replacing the Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick, who was asked to resign as chief of the popular app based cab service.
Kalanick was the driving force behind Uber, taking a spur-of-moment idea and turning it into the world’s most valuable venture-funded tech startup.
Khosrowshahi comes with prolific experience and known for his outspoken behavior.He has advocated for abolishing the gender gap on pay scales as he believes in equal leadership opportunities.
“We’re really fortunate to gain a leader with Dara’s experience, talent and vision,” Uber said in the email sent to its employees.
