Universal SompoUniversal Sompo General Insurance Company Limited has appointed Ashish Gosavi as Head – Operations, Customer Services & Contact Centre. The appointment will come into effect from 19th October 2020. Gosavi holds more than 22 years of extensive experience, entirely in the Insurance Sector in India & Malaysia.

Before joining Universal Sompo, Gosavi has been working with a Global insurer, AIA Bhd, as Head – Applications Management – Business Solutions, based out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He held several leadership roles and was associated with L&T General Insurance, Reliance General Insurance, ICICI Lombard & New India Assurance Co. Ltd.

Gosavi holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce from University of Mumbai, Fellowship from Insurance Institute of India and is Certified Process Auditor & CS (I).

 Universal Sompo General Insurance Co. Ltd is a joint venture of Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Karnataka Bank Ltd, Dabur Investment Corporation and a leading general insurer from Japan, Sompo Japan Insurance Inc.

It has its operational across 17 Zonal Offices, 86 Branch Offices and has a workforce of around 1500 strong workforce.
