Online brokerage firm Upstox has appointed Thippesha Dyamappa as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As per media reports, Dyamappa has been appointed to upgrade Upstox’s technology stack as the Indian stock market is set for a few mega-initial public offerings in the coming months including those of state-owned behemoth Life Insurance Corporation of India and fintech firm Paytm. He will also be helping the expansion in the global markets.
Formerly known as RKSV Securities, it ventured into the retail brokerage space in 2012. It was founded in 2008 as a proprietary trading firm and has been supported by industrialist Ratan Tata and private equity firm Tiger Global.
Dyamappa holds over two decades of extensive experience in the field of software engineering. He has experience in building best-in-class organizations with 600+ FTEs in around six countries such as US, India, Jordan, China, UAE, and Brazil.
Prior to this appointment, he has associated with Amazon for over 9 years and with travel tech firm Sabre Holdings for more than 10 years.
