PhonePe, Mumbai Metro One partner for smartcard recharge services

For boosting the adoption of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) as a payment mode for smartcard recharges among metro commuters, digital payments giant PhonePe has collaborated with Mumbai Metro One.

PhonepeThis new partnership with Mumbai Metro One adds to the long list of PhonePe’s collaborations that already has Delhi Metro, Oyo, Goibibo, Ola, Redbus and Abhibus in its kitty.

For attracting more customers, as a launch offer, the digital payment firm is also offering a cashback up to Rs 90 for three Mumbai Metro smartcard recharges done from 4 October to 13 October 2018.

Commuters who are willing to avail the offer, have to first download the PhonePe app and follow these simple steps:

  • Click on the PhonePe App icon after download
  • Go to the Metro option
  • Select the Mumbai Metro option
  • Provide all mandatory details
  • Choose amount of recharge
  • Enter BHIM UPI PIN and make the payment

It is to be noted that after making the payment, metro commuters should tap the metro smartcard on Automatic Vending Machine (AVM) at any station platform in order to complete the metro smartcard recharge.
