Organizations have invested in monitoring solutions over time as and when there were operational issues or IT issues, resulting in an enterprise customer today having at least 5-10 monitoring solutions in their ecosystem.

Riverbed aims to help customers make the most of the investments already made by building the entire monitoring suite from the ground up in a stack model, with third-party integrations that work with most investments already made. The visibility journey for most of the largest enterprises in the world typically begins with SNMP, WMI, and CLI-based monitoring solutions like Wireshark, followed by network device configurations, and then monitoring of packets generated by transactions from the click of the end-user button. This leads to real-user monitoring, synthetic transaction monitoring, and the use of customizable dashboards that provide insights based on roles and responsibilities, business growth, and ecosystem scalability.

Riverbed plays a transformative role in bringing in new technologies that are customizable based on the key performance indicators and key results areas of individuals in their organizations.

The journey toward automation of manual tasks in monitoring and remediation, citing the use of AI and machine learning capabilities to automate the analysis of captured data and trigger auto-remediation for performance breaches.
