Abhishek Jain has been appointed as Group Business Head – Government Banking at TransBnk, reinforcing the company’s leadership as it sharpens its focus on the government and public sector ecosystem. With close to two decades of experience in banking and financial services, Abhishek brings strong domain expertise in transaction banking, payments, and cash management.
Over the course of his career, he has been associated with leading institutions such as HDFC Bank, IDFC FIRST Bank, IndusInd Bank, and Bandhan Bank, along with fintech firm Cashfree. His professional journey spans both product and business leadership roles, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of how to design, implement, and scale transaction banking solutions across diverse segments.
In his new capacity, Abhishek will lead initiatives across Government, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Trusts, Associations, Societies, and Clubs (TASC), as well as transit-related businesses. His role will focus on building robust transaction banking frameworks that address the evolving needs of government bodies and institutional clients, while also leveraging technology to improve efficiency and reach.
Before joining TransBnk, Abhishek served as Product Head for Toll and Transit at IDFC FIRST Bank. In this role, he was responsible for driving solutions in cash management and transit ecosystems, working closely with large corporates and government-linked institutions. His experience in handling complex, high-volume financial environments is expected to add significant value to TransBnk’s growth strategy.
Sharing his perspective, Abhishek noted that government banking presents both challenges and opportunities, and emphasised the importance of enabling wider access through innovative financial infrastructure.
