BITS Pilani has partnered with Axis Bank to establish a ₹100 crore Industry Research, Technology & Innovation Park at its Hyderabad campus to strengthen India’s deep-tech and healthcare innovation ecosystem. The initiative will be funded through Axis Bank’s CSR contribution and aims to accelerate the transition of research from laboratories to real-world applications. The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The 120,000-square-foot facility will focus on life sciences, biopharma, healthcare, and medical devices, while providing laboratories, incubation centres, co-working spaces, and shared research infrastructure for startups, MSMEs, researchers, and innovators.

The innovation park will also facilitate technology transfer, intellectual property management, and industry-academia collaboration to bridge the gap between scientific discoveries and commercial deployment. Hyderabad’s thriving life sciences ecosystem, including Genome Valley, is expected to further strengthen the initiative.
The collaboration reflects a growing emphasis on building research-driven innovation ecosystems and advancing India’s global competitiveness in deep-tech and healthcare sectors.
