Cedar Hill Capital has co-led a $3 million funding round in Karta, an agentic voice AI startup focused on automating inbound customer interactions for banks, lenders, fintech companies and insurers. The investment will support Karta’s efforts to help financial institutions resolve customer queries more efficiently through AI-powered voice agents.
The funding round also includes participation from PeerCapital, WYSER – Pioneering Agentic AI Venture Fund, CDM Capital and Seedstars. Cedar Hill Capital welcomed Vijaypal Singh and Abhishek Kushwaha to its broader investment platform as part of the announcement.
Karta develops multi-intent agentic voice AI solutions designed to handle inbound customer queries across financial services. Unlike conventional voice AI systems that primarily focus on outbound calls, the startup addresses inbound interactions, where customers initiate conversations to seek information, resolve issues or complete service requests.
According to the company’s announcement, Karta’s technology is being used at scale by a leading home loan company, where approximately 70% of borrower queries are resolved end-to-end, reducing costs by roughly 50%. The platform handles around two million customer conversations every month across more than 25 languages.
Karta’s AI agents can understand multiple customer intents within a single conversation, connect with an institution’s existing systems and resolve complex Level 2 and Level 3 customer service cases. This approach aims to reduce dependence on human intervention while improving response times and operational efficiency.
For banks and other financial institutions, inbound query management remains a significant operational challenge, particularly as customer expectations for faster, round-the-clock assistance continue to rise. AI-driven automation offers an opportunity to streamline service operations, manage large interaction volumes and lower the cost of customer support.

Cedar Hill Capital’s investment reflects growing investor interest in AI solutions designed for specific enterprise workflows, particularly in the financial services sector. As lenders and insurers increasingly explore agentic AI, platforms capable of understanding customer intent and executing actions across existing systems could play a larger role in modernising customer operations.
