Mumbai: Axis Bank has appointed former McKinsey executive Namrata Dubashi as its first Chief Artificial Intelligence (AI) Officer, marking a significant step in the bank’s efforts to strengthen its AI-driven transformation strategy.
The appointment reflects the growing importance of artificial intelligence in the banking sector, where institutions are increasingly leveraging advanced technologies to enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, strengthen risk management, and drive innovation.
Dubashi brings extensive experience in digital transformation, data analytics, and AI-led business strategy. Prior to joining Axis Bank, she held leadership roles at McKinsey & Company, where she advised organizations across industries on technology adoption, digital innovation, and AI implementation.
As Chief AI Officer, Dubashi is expected to lead the bank’s enterprise-wide AI agenda, focusing on integrating artificial intelligence across business functions, accelerating automation initiatives, and developing next-generation customer and employee experiences.
