Chennai: Alternative investment firm Anicut Capital has launched a ₹3,000 crore fundraising programme across four new investment funds, reinforcing its commitment to supporting India’s fast-growing startup and mid-market ecosystem.

According to Balamurugan IAS, Managing Partner and Co-founder of Anicut Capital, three of the new funds will focus on equity investments, while the fourth will be dedicated to private credit, reflecting the firm’s strategy to provide both growth capital and structured financing to businesses across different stages of development.

The fundraising initiative comes amid rising investor interest in India’s alternative investment landscape, driven by increasing demand for venture capital, growth equity, and private credit solutions. By launching multiple funds simultaneously, Anicut aims to cater to startups, emerging enterprises, and established businesses seeking flexible financing options.

The new equity-focused funds are expected to back high-growth companies across sectors, while the private credit fund will provide tailored debt capital to businesses looking for expansion financing without significant equity dilution.

Anicut Capital has established itself as a prominent investor in India’s startup ecosystem, supporting companies across fintech, SaaS, consumer technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and enterprise technology. The firm has built a diversified investment portfolio by combining venture capital with alternative credit strategies.
