Kyndryl and Suryoday Small Finance Bank Partner to Advance Agentic AI in Banking

Kyndryl

Kyndryl and Suryoday Small Finance Bank have announced a collaboration to deploy agentic AI capabilities across the bank, with a focus on improving customer experience, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

As part of the collaboration, Kyndryl will establish an Agentic AI Center of Excellence (CoE) for Suryoday Small Finance Bank. The CoE will help the bank identify and scale opportunities for agentic AI, modernise operations and accelerate service delivery across its digital and physical channels.

Suryoday Bank will leverage the Kyndryl Agentic AI Framework to develop and scale AI-enabled capabilities aimed at reducing customer service response times and improving workforce productivity. Key applications will include faster digitisation and validation of account-opening forms and voice-enabled support for mobile banking.

The collaboration will also explore the use of agentic AI in critical banking and compliance functions, including responding to legal enforcement requests, investigating suspicious transactions and supporting the underwriting of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) loans. These capabilities are expected to strengthen the bank’s compliance processes while enabling employees to focus on higher-value activities.

“By establishing an Agentic AI Center of Excellence with Kyndryl, we are embedding intelligence across critical customer journeys and operational processes, helping us accelerate onboarding, improve responsiveness and enable our teams to focus on higher-value engagement,” said Baskar Babu R, MD & CEO, Suryoday Small Finance Bank.
