Mumbai, August 2026: Vibha Padalkar has been re-appointed as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of HDFC Life Insurance Company for another five-year term, effective September 12, 2026, following approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
Padalkar has been leading HDFC Life as MD & CEO since 2018. Her re-appointment extends her leadership at the life insurer as it enters its next phase of growth and strategic expansion.
Prior to becoming MD & CEO, Padalkar served as Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer at HDFC Life for more than a decade. During her tenure, she played a key role across financial management, strategy and business operations, contributing to the company’s growth and transformation.
Before joining HDFC Life, Padalkar was Executive Vice President – Finance at WNS Global Services. She began her professional career with Colgate-Palmolive, gaining experience in corporate finance before moving into financial services.
With more than three decades of professional experience spanning financial services, corporate finance, strategy and leadership, Padalkar has built a long-standing career in the financial sector. Her continued leadership is expected to support HDFC Life’s focus on growth, customer-centric innovation and strengthening its position in India’s evolving life insurance market.
