Anjana Srinivasan has been appointed Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Asia & Middle East, and Chief Operating Officer (COO), Asia International Markets at HSBC, marking a new leadership chapter following around 24 years with the organisation.
Srinivasan has held a range of leadership positions across HSBC, spanning Operations, Risk & Control, Retail Banking & Wealth Management, Global Marketing, and Business Risk & Resilience. Her extensive experience across diverse functions and markets has given her a broad understanding of banking operations, risk management, customer businesses, and organisational resilience.
Before joining HSBC, Srinivasan worked with Vasan And Sampath Chartered Accountants, where she gained experience in audit and taxation.
A Chartered Accountant and graduate of Bangalore University, Srinivasan brings more than two decades of experience within HSBC along with extensive global leadership exposure to her new dual mandate.

In her new roles, she will contribute to strengthening HSBC’s operational leadership across Asia and the Middle East while supporting the bank’s international markets businesses across the region. Her cross-functional experience is expected to play an important role in advancing operational effectiveness, risk and control frameworks, and business resilience across the organisation.
