Navana.ai Raises ₹40 Crore in Series A to Expand Voice AI Across BFSI

Bengaluru, September 7, 2026: Voice AI startup Navana.ai has raised ₹40 crore ($4.2 million) in a Series A funding round led by existing investor and upGrad co-founder Ronnie Screwvala. The company plans to use the fresh capital to deepen its presence across India’s banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector.

Founded in 2018 by Raoul Nanavati and Jai Nanavati, Navana.ai is focused on developing voice AI solutions for enterprises, with an emphasis on India’s multilingual and diverse customer base.

The latest funding will be used to expand the company’s voice AI platform across BFSI, strengthen its speech models, and build its AI Contact Centre and automated evaluation platform.

Navana.ai’s proprietary voice AI models currently support 12 Indian languages and 45 dialects. The company claims to have delivered more than 100 million voice AI minutes for BFSI clients, highlighting the growing adoption of conversational AI across the financial services ecosystem.

The company’s technology is designed to enable enterprises to deploy voice-based AI across customer interactions, helping financial institutions automate and improve high-volume processes while addressing the linguistic diversity of Indian customers.

The funding comes at a time when India’s voice AI ecosystem is witnessing increasing activity, with enterprises across BFSI exploring conversational AI for customer service, collections, sales, onboarding and other customer-facing workflows.

Navana.ai will also focus on strengthening its AI Contact Centre capabilities and automated evaluation platform, enabling enterprises to build, deploy and assess voice AI systems at scale.

The company’s expansion strategy comes amid growing demand for AI-powered customer engagement solutions in the BFSI sector, where multilingual capabilities and the ability to handle regional dialects are becoming increasingly important for serving India’s large and diverse customer base.

With the new capital, Navana.ai aims to further scale its technology and enterprise footprint, positioning voice AI as a key layer in the next generation of customer engagement across India’s financial services industry.
