Karta AI Raises $3 Million Seed Round Led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital to Scale Inbound Voice AI for BFSI

Bengaluru-based Karta AI has raised USD 3 million in a seed round led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital to scale its voice AI agents that resolve inbound customer calls for banks, lenders, fintechs and insurers. The startup says it already handles around 2 million conversations a month in 25+ languages.

Bengaluru-based Karta AI, which builds voice AI agents that handle inbound customer calls for banks, lenders, fintechs and insurers, has raised USD 3 million in a seed round co-led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital. Wyser VC, CDM Capital and Seedstars also took part in the round, the company said in an announcement made on October 22, 2026.

The raise comes as financial institutions look beyond rigid IVR menus and high-attrition contact centres to manage the steady flow of service calls, from loan status checks to failed payments and blocked cards, that still arrive over voice.

Built for the inbound call

Karta AI describes itself as a multi-intent, agentic voice platform for inbound customer operations in banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI). Its agents plug into an institution’s core enterprise systems, absorb organisational context and stitch together the workflows needed to close a request within the same call. This allows a single conversation to address several customer needs rather than routing the caller from one queue to another, with a human brought in only when required.

Underpinning the platform is what the company calls a predictive context engine. Every earlier interaction, whether handled by a human agent or by AI, feeds into a resolution matrix that guides how subsequent calls are resolved.

According to the company, Karta AI is already live with leading financial institutions and handles around 2 million customer conversations a month across more than 25 languages. At a large home loan company, its inbound servicing agent resolves about 70 per cent of borrower queries end to end, covering disbursal status, statements of account, foreclosure statements and release of property documents, at roughly 50 per cent lower cost to serve per query. At a payments company, the startup said its retention agent has delivered 25 per cent more conversions than human agents.

Why investors are backing inbound

Vijaypal Singh, Co-founder and CEO of Karta AI, said, “Inbound is where financial institutions carry the most cost and where customers feel the most friction. We built Karta AI to resolve the hard calls, the ones that need several systems and more than one answer, and to bring in a human only when it matters.” He added that the funding would help the company take its platform to more institutions, with a long-term vision of “an intelligent assistant for every customer and an AI workforce running every workflow.”

For Cedar Hill Capital, the distinction between outbound and inbound use cases was central to the investment. “Most voice AI companies we met are building for outbound calls: collections, reminders, lead qualification. There, the agent starts the conversation, and the intent is already known. Inbound is a much harder problem,” said Sahil Anand, Managing Partner, Cedar Hill Capital. He noted that Karta’s agents go beyond first-level queries to handle complex L2 and L3 issues and work inside the institution’s own workflows instead of simply routing calls.

Karthik Prabhakar, Managing Partner, PeerCapital, said Karta AI’s ability to manage complex, multi-intent dialogue “bridges a critical gap in the market, taking customer experience automation to a whole new level.”

Use of funds

Founded in 2024 by Vijaypal Singh (CEO) and Abhishek Kushwaha (CTO), Karta AI will use the fresh capital to strengthen its platform’s end-to-end automation and multilingual capabilities, expand deployments with financial institutions, and scale its engineering and go-to-market teams. Over the longer term, the company plans to build reusable, industry-specific capabilities and take its voice agents to international markets.

For India’s lenders and insurers, which serve customers across dozens of languages and service journeys, the round signals growing investor conviction that AI-led resolution, rather than call deflection, is the next frontier in customer service for financial services.
