Leaking of Aadhaar number will not lead to hacking of the Account numbers, clarified UIDAI on its official website.
In a bid to clear the confusion that several Aadhaar card holders have pertaining to the safety of their account numbers, UIDAI has clarified on several occasion that no account number can be cheated, mentioned UIDAI on its official website.
UIDAI says that no one can withdraw any money from your account just by knowing your account number. Similarly by merely knowing your Aadhaar number, no one can cheat your and withdraw your money from Aadhaar linked bank account, stated UIDAI.

For withdrawing your money, the bank needs your debit card, PIN, OTP, etc., similarly for withdrawing money from your Aadhaar linked bank account through Aadhaar, your fingerprint, IRIS or OTP sent to your Aadhaar registered mobile will be required, stated UIDAI.
It further says that no Aadhaar holder has suffered any financial or other loss or identity theft on account due to Aadhaar number.
