Accenture to acquire Symantec’s Cybersecurity Services Business from Broadcom

Accenture is all set to acquire Symantec’s Cybersecurity Services business from Broadcom, Inc. However, the financial terms of this acquisition are not disclosed yet.

This acquisition will help Accenture Security in becoming one of the leading providers of managed security services, further enhancing its ability to assist companies rapidly anticipate, detect and respond to cyber threats.

Symantec’s portfolio of Cybersecurity Services comprises of global threat monitoring and analysis via network of security operation centers, real-time adversary and industry-specific threat intelligence and incident response services.

The six security operations centers are situated in the U.S., the United Kingdom, India, Australia, Singapore and Japan. Its security services business is maintained by a proprietary cloud-based platform that offers a steady stream of technical and cyber adversary threat intelligence via customisable portal.

Symantec’s Enterprise Security business, which is now a part of Broadcom, headquartered in Mountain View, California. Its Cyber Security Services business contains over 300 employees around the world who offer services to top-tier organisations across a diverse range of industries, including financial services, utilities, health, government, communications, media, technology and retail.
