Mumbai: Manappuram Finance Limited has appointed Ashish Singh as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, bringing extensive experience across retail banking, rural lending, retail liabilities, and strategic business development.
Prior to his appointment, Singh served as Head – Retail Liabilities and Head – Bharat Banking at IDFC FIRST Bank, where he led key retail banking initiatives and worked across areas including customer acquisition, distribution, and business growth.
Earlier in his career, Singh held leadership positions at Fullerton India Credit Company Ltd. and ICICI Bank. During these stints, he worked across rural finance, product development, strategic initiatives, cross-selling, channel innovation, and customer acquisition.
His career spanning banking and financial services has given him experience across multiple segments of retail and rural finance. This broad exposure is expected to support his leadership of Manappuram Finance as the company focuses on its next phase of growth and business transformation.
Singh’s appointment comes at a significant time for the financial services sector, with lenders and non-banking financial companies increasingly focusing on digital capabilities, customer-centric products, wider distribution networks, and technology-led growth.
