The Bank of Maharashtra recently informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that R. Athmaram, the Executive Director (ED) of the bank, has retired on October 31.
Athmaram, who was appointed to the post by the Government of India “vide its notification dated August 07, 2013, in terms of Section 9 (3)(A) of The Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970/1980 read with Clause 3(1) and Clause 8(1) of the Nationalized Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970/1980 has ceased to be a director of the bank with effect from October 31, 2016 upon his attaining superannuation”, the bank informed the BSE.
Before his appointment as the Executive Director of Bank of Maharashtra, Athmaram served as the General Manager of Andhra Bank. The engineering graduate headed corporate planning, marketing and information technology departments of the bank.
