Private insurance firm Aviva Life Insurance has appointed Neil Karia as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The post was vacant since December 2018 post the resignation of Karni Singh Arha, who became a Management Consultant on Insurance and NBFCs.
Karia, will be based at Gurugram Headquarters. He will be responsible for strategic planning, treasury, management of financial performance, successful accomplishment of growth targets, strengthening the customer base and reinforcing the company’s presence in the industry.
“I am excited to start a new journey with Aviva India as the Chief Financial Officer. With my expertise in financial services and experience with the foreign shareholder, I look forward to exploring new avenues and help the company achieve the ambitious growth plans over the next few years,” commented Neil Karia, the new CFO.
Prior to joining Aviva India, Karia was the Senior Vice President of Mergers & Acquisition (M&A), reporting to the Chief Strategy & M&A Officer at Aviva plc. He is a seasoned professional with years of rich experience in aspects of financial services, M&A, corporate finance, auditing and dealings with foreign shareholders. He has also held a range of roles in Deloitte before joining Aviva in 2014.
A Chartered Accountant by profession, he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the London School of Economics.
