Axis Bank appoints Amit Talgeri as Chief Risk Officer

Private lender Axis Bank has named Amit Talgeri as its new Chief Risk Officer. At Axis, Talgeri will replace Cyril Anand, who has retired from his role at the bank.

His appointment will be effective from January 1, 2020, and his tenure will be valid for three years. Besides, the bank has also appointed Naveen Tahilyani as the Group Executive, Head Banking Operations and Transformation, which will be effective from January 6.

The incumbent CRO, Cyril Anand, recently retired from his position in the bank’s services and will be replaced by Amit Talgeri.As a part of his new role, Tahilyani will supervise operations, technology, strategy, and analytics.

“We are confident that with these appointments, the bank will further consolidate its leadership position across multiple businesses, as we look forward to progressing to the next phase of growth,” said Amitabh Chaudhry, Managing Director and CEO, Axis Bank.
