Kolkata based lender Bandhan Bank appointed Subrata Dutta Gupta,former International Finance Corporation executive and Suhail Chander, former IndusInd Bank executive to its board.
The new members have joined the bank’s board as additional independent directors. Post the approval from bank’s shareholders in the next annual general meeting, they will become independent directors.
With this, the bank’s board now has 15 members and also includes HR Khan, who was Reserve Bank of India’s deputy governor between 2011 and 2016.
Subrata Dutta Gupta retired from IFC as principal financial officer. Prior to this, he was the managing director of BHW Birla Home Finance. He was also associated with SREI International Finance. Currently, he is the board member of Joyville Shapporji Housing Finance as a nominee director of the Asian Development Bank, said Bandhan Bank in. its communiqué.

Prior to retiring in March 2020, Chander was the head of corporate and institutional banking at IndusInd Bank. He is currently a board member at Canara Robeco Asset Management Co. Ltd.
