Bandhan Bank, based in Kolkata, has named Rajeev Mantri as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) starting February 22, 2024.
He will succeed Abhijit Ghosh, the bank’s Interim CFO and Head of Finance and Accounts.
“Accordingly, Abhijit Ghosh ceases to be the Interim CFO and KMP of the Bank with effect from February 22, 2024, i.e. upon the appointment of Mantri as CFO & KMP. However, Mr Ghosh will continue as Head – Finance & Accounts and would continue to be part of the Senior Management of the Bank,” the lender stated in its exchange filing.
Ghosh took over as Interim CFO on October 20, 2023, after Sunil Samdhani stepped down as CFO effective September 30, 2023, to pursue possibilities outside the bank.
Rajeev Mantri is a seasoned banker with over 25 years of expertise in banking and finance spanning India, Singapore, and the UAE. He was the CFO of Citi India for the previous three years before his appointment. He also spent over 15 years working with Standard Chartered Bank in India and Singapore and Mashreqbank in the UAE. He was the Chief Financial Officer at TransUnion CIBIL before joining Citi Bank.

Mantri is a Chartered Accountant of ICAI India and an Executive MBA from INSEAD Business School in Singapore.
