Central bank of India names Malladi Venkat as Executive Director

Shri Malladi Venkat Murali Krishna takes over as Executive Director of the Central Bank of India. He was formerly the Chief General Manager of Bank of Baroda before being nominated to his current position. His most recent role at Bank of Baroda was Head of Corporate & Institutional Credit – Large Corporate.

Shri Malladi Venkat Murali Krishna, Chief General Manager, Bank of Baroda, was appointed as Executive Director on the Board of the Bank for a term of three years, effective from the date of assumption of office on or after December 1, 2022, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, in place of Shri Alok Srivastava, Executive Director of the Bank, who retired on November 30, 2022.

He has over three decades of professional banking leadership experience as well as an MBA in Banking and Finance. He began his career as a Probationary Officer with Bank of Baroda. His expertise spans all major banking areas, including corporate credit, foreign business, rural and agricultural banking, financial inclusion, and NRI business, to name a few.

Throughout his long banking career, he moved from branches to regional offices, and from abroad territories to the corporate headquarters. He effectively performed tasks such as those of the CEO of a big firm, the CEO of corporate operations, the CEO of the rural and agricultural department, and the CEO of the financial inclusion department. He has served on the boards of AFC Ltd., BOB Capital Finance Ltd., and Baroda Gujarat Gramin Bank.
