Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the government will soon set up Covid-19 Economic Task Force to handle economic challenges emerging due to the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic.
The task force will be headed by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and will ensure measures taken to curb the economic impact from Covid-19 outbreak are implemented.
In his nationwide address, Prime Minister Modi also talked about a self-imposed or ‘janata’ curfew on Sunday 22 March, appealing Indians to stay at home from 7 AM to 9PM.
