India’s leading financial entity Citi India’s Chief Executive Officer Pramit Jhaveri has been elevated as Vice-chairman of banking, capital markets and advisory, Asia Pacific.
Jhaveri will be stepping down from his current position on January 31; however, he will continue to be the interim CEO till the end of his term on March 2019.
After completion of around nine years of his stint with the brand as it CEO, he is promoted to a bigger rolr of the Vice-chairman of the Wall Street bank’s banking, capital markets and advisory business across APAC.
He will continue to be based in India. In his new role, he will report to Jan Metzger.
Metzger was appointed as Citi’s Asia Pacific head of corporate and investment banking (CIB) a year ago, and Francisco Aristeguieta CEO of Citigroup Asia.
He will take up the new position from April 1 and will continue to be on his current role offering assisting in identifying his successor. He joined Citi India in 1987 after completing his MBA in and Economics from the Simon School of Business campus in the United States.
