DMRC partners Airtel Payments Bank to launch smart card top-up

The Delhi Metro has partnered with Airtel Payments Bank to offer another smart card top-up service to commuters.

This new programme aims to contribute to the government’s objective of Digital India and financial inclusion by bringing digital transaction services to every Indian’s doorstep, according to a statement from the DMRC.

Airtel Payments Bank will now be able to top up Delhi Metro smart cards, according to the company.

According to the statement, this new capability would be of tremendous comfort to commuters because it will allow them to use one more reliable alternative to recharge their smart cards using their mobile phones.

The transactions will be fully secure, and the app will only save your card or internet banking information once. It was also stated that charging using this facility would be quick and convenient.
