Fortinet announces network access control solution for IoT security

fortinetCybersecurity software giant Fortinet has announced the launch of FortiNAC, a new network access control product line that delivers network segmentation and automated responses for the Internet of Things (IoT) security.

The company says that the initiative has been taken in the wake of the massive rise of unsecured, headless IoT devices, including industrial and medical IoT.

Fortinet’s new FortiNAC secures IoT environments and provides enhanced visibility, control and automated response capabilities by delivering network access control.

It enables granular network segmentation and automated responses for changes in device status or behaviour and offers detailed profiling of each device on the network and. It ensures that each device only has access to verified items on the network.

The IoT devices are gaining a lot of popularity as organisations are embracing digital transformation to enable better operational efficiency.
