IndusInd Bank Limited has appointed Gireesh Kunnathattil as Head – MNC & GCC Coverage, marking a significant addition to its corporate banking leadership. With over 27 years of experience in banking and financial services, Gireesh brings extensive expertise across corporate banking, large corporate relationships, credit, real estate, infrastructure, and relationship management.

Prior to joining IndusInd Bank, Gireesh spent more than 17 years with Axis Bank, where he held several leadership positions across corporate banking and relationship management. Most recently, he served as Group Head – South, Real Economy Group, overseeing relationships across the real estate and infrastructure sectors.

Earlier, he served as Group Head – Large Corporates and Senior Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking at Axis Bank, where he focused on managing large corporate relationships and driving business development. His tenure at the bank also included roles such as Deputy Vice President – Mid Corporate Relationships, Assistant Vice President – Mid Corporate Relationships, and Assistant Vice President – Credit.

In his credit leadership role, Gireesh worked across SME credit appraisal, risk assessment, credit sanctions, post-sanction monitoring, and relationship management, adding significant depth to his corporate banking expertise.

Gireesh also served as Assistant General Manager – Corporate Banking Group at ICICI Bank, further strengthening his experience in corporate banking and client relationship management. He began his banking career with State Bank of Hyderabad as Deputy Manager.

In his new role at IndusInd Bank, Gireesh is expected to leverage his extensive experience in corporate banking, MNC and GCC coverage, large corporates, credit, and relationship management to strengthen the bank’s corporate banking franchise and deepen relationships with multinational corporations and global capability centres.
