The ICICI Bank has launched a voice-based password facility for users, enabling customers to make transactions using their voice, without using other means of authentication like a password.
“The voice recognition service verify customers based on their speech patterns. It allows them to execute banking transactions through the bank’s call centre,” the bank said in a statement.
“Customers’ voice will act as the password for banking transactions through the call centre.”
The savings bank and credit card customers will be able to use the service.
“The facility has been launched with the objective of enhancing the banking experience of our customers,” Chanda Kochhar, Managing Director and Chief Executive, ICICI Bank said.
