One thing which is constant in this digital era is that everything is continuously evolving and changing. And, Digital starts with design, thus design plays a significant role in turning ideas into reality. In 2020, we are looking forward to partner with companies across wide domains and deliver meaningful experiences with our strong UX UI designing capabilities, says Naveen Puttagunta, Chief Executive Officer, Divami, in conversation with Elets News Network (ENN).
1. Tell us about Divami. What are your offerings?
We are an established UX/UI design solution provider on a global scale. We fundamentally concentrate on User Experience and User Interface Design services for mobile, web, and desktop application software. We also have a development team that focuses mainly on UI development for web and mobile apps. We specialize in designing UX and UI for SaaS & cloud-based platforms, consumer applications, and enterprise software across all industries like fin-tech, logistics, hospitality, entertainment, health tech, telecom, education, and retail.
2. Your website is very creatively designed with some fun tag lines. Would you like to share the idea behind it?
Ours is a very people-centric business. As we predominantly design for companies, we do a lot of business-centric work. But in the end, the business applications we design are used by people. We really wanted to connect to people and appeal to our website visitors browsing our website. We didn’t want a strait-laced or a traditional approach. We were inclined to an approach which is a little offbeat and lively, to appeal to our website users and prospects. Hence we tried to come up with such a design that instils some fun, and in the end, that’s how we tried to give a human touch and engage our website visitors.
3. How important design in today’s digital era?
Over the past three decades, information has become more digitized, and this has also remodelled the realm of design. Digital starts with design, thus design plays a significant role in turning ideas into reality. UX/UI development requires numerous technologies and frameworks beyond web and mobile application development space. Today, design is moving from ‘nice-to-have’ to ‘need-to-have.’ Enterprises cannot afford to have a not-so-good design; as people’s attention spans are becoming shorter and companies have to convey as quickly and clearly as possible with a cohesive and powerful design.
4. Does Divami have any experience of working with the BFSI sector? If yes, what is it all about?
BFSI, as a matter of fact, is one of our core sectors. Based on the profession we are in, we tend to work with a lot of SaaS platform companies as well as teams that build customer portals. We have executed quite a lot of projects with some of the latest fin-tech startups. For example, we have worked on OneMoney, which is the first RBI licensed account aggregator in India. We have helped them design and build a complete account aggregation platform and personal finance management applications.
We have also worked with a start-up in the wallet space. A UK based startup wanted to introduce a wallet in the Indian market approached us. There are a few other financial projects like Tata Captial, which is one of the largest NBFC in the country. We also have worked with SaaS platforms, which handles payments and merchant invoicing. We undertook works from Zambala and ArthYantra, which provides mutual funds management and wealth advisory platforms. Also, we have recently initiated a couple of projects with some banks, but unfortunately, we can’t disclose due to NDA.
5. 2019 is coming to an end. What innovations have you planned for 2020?
One thing which is constant in this digital era is that everything is continuously evolving and changing. Technology is moving at such a rapid pace that it is sometimes difficult to keep up with all of it. So we have to pick our battles carefully. What we used to see as the future, is no more the future. Everything is here, it just needs to be scaled up. While we are already working beyond AI-enabled mobile and web applications to IoT applications and wearable technology, now we have also started working upon AR/VR. Our vision is to be the pioneers in human interaction technology. We are looking forward to partner with companies across wide domains and deliver meaningful experiences with our strong UX UI designing capabilities.
