IRCTC all set to launch its payment gateway

IRCTC

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is planning to launch its payment gateway for meeting the rising demand for online ticketing in India.

This move will help the brand in reducing its dependency on the third-party payment service providers and also tap the revenue generated from the service.

More than 1.2 million tickets are sold via IRCTC’s official website. As of now the payment wing of the site runs in partnership with brands like Paytm, Mobikwik, Razorpay and more.

The gateway will be named as iPay and it is currently being tested. It will be launched in the next 4-8 weeks.

Reportedly, MMAD Communications, a startup from Delhi is set to be the technology partner. It will be providing all back-end support to the new payment gateway.
