IRCTC to begin ticket booking from 4 Pm today, services of limited trains to start soon

Indian Railways will be beginning its ticket bookings from today and train services will gradually start from Tuesday, informed IRCTC on Sunday.

Initially, the train services will begin with 15 pairs of trains or with 30 journeys from Tuesday.

Online bookings for reservation will start from today, 11 May, 2020 at 4 pm and will be available only on IRCTC website, the Ministry of Railways stated in a statement.

Passengers will only be able to book the tickets online on IRCTC website or via its Mobile App. Booking of tickets through ‘agents’, (both IRCTC and Railway) is not permitted and there would be no provision of tatkal and premium tatkal accommodation. Furthermore, no current booking shall be allowed.

All passenger trains will be running with AC coaches only and with limited stoppages. The fare will be equal to the ticket fare that is charged for Rajdhani Train, added the ministry.

These trains will be running as special trains from New Delhi Station connecting 15 important cities of the country. These cities are Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Trivandrum, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad and Jammu Tawi.

More details, including the train schedule, will be issued separately in due course, said the statement from Railways.
