In a bid to promote the usage of digital payments, Government of Jharkhand has announced cash back facility on online electricity bill payments.
Additional Chief Secretary, Amit Khare, Department of Finance, Government of Jharkhand announced this facility in Ranchi (Jharkhand), reported the India Today.
The facility will be kicking off after the approval of Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission, to promote digital payment.
“Consumers will get one per cent or maximum Rs 50 cash back by the Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited for domestic, commercial, small industries and farming connection for payment through digital mode – card, online, net banking and mobile banking,” said Additional Chief Secretary, Amit Khare, Department of Finance, Government of Jharkhand.
At least 25 lakh consumers will be benefitted from this step.
