Julius Baer India appoints Abhishek Chandra as COO and Shuja Siddiqui as Chief of Staff

In a significant move to bolster its operational and strategic framework, Julius Baer India has announced the induction of Abhishek Chandra as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Chandra, bringing over two decades of expertise in the financial services and tech sectors, transitions into this role after his tenure as the Chief Technology Officer at Kotak Private Banking. His previous position saw him at the forefront of integrating technology to elevate customer service and enhance operational efficiency.

Simultaneously, Julius Baer India has welcomed Shuja Siddiqui as the Chief of Staff. Siddiqui arrives from his role at 360 One Wealth, where he was instrumental in steering strategic initiatives and overseeing special projects and strategy formulation. With a solid background spanning nearly 22 years in wealth management, including stints at L&T Capital, Societe Generale, and HDFC Bank, Siddiqui’s vast experience is set to contribute significantly to his new role. His tenure at Julius Baer India commenced in January 2024.

Both Chandra and Siddiqui will work closely under the guidance of Umang Papneja, the CEO of Julius Baer India, aligning with the company’s strategic goals and business expansion plans.

Umang Papneja, commenting on the new appointments, underscored the importance of India as a key market for Julius Baer’s growth strategy, marking these appointments as crucial milestones in the company’s ongoing development and commitment to excellence in the region.
