Kotak Mahindra Bank Appoints Nilesh Chaudhari as Chief Technology Officer

Kotak Mahindra Bank has appointed seasoned technology leader Nilesh Chaudhari as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), strengthening the bank’s focus on digital transformation and enterprise technology. In his new role, he will lead the technology strategy across wholesale, corporate and commercial banking, as well as enterprise functions, with an emphasis on innovation, scalability and secure digital platforms.

Nilesh brings nearly three decades of experience in the financial services technology space. Before joining Kotak Mahindra Bank, he served as CIO – Global Payments at Barclays, and held senior leadership roles including Managing Director for Retail Banking Technology. Earlier in his career, he worked as Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Senior Director at IDFC First Bank, and in multiple leadership positions at Citigroup. He began his professional journey with Citicorp Overseas Software Ltd.

His expertise covers payments infrastructure, core banking systems, digital ecosystems, data and analytics, lending platforms and large-scale transformation programmes across global markets. The appointment is expected to support Kotak Mahindra Bank’s ongoing efforts to modernise technology operations and enhance customer-focused digital services.
