Max Life Insurance Rebrands as Axis Max Life Insurance Following Strategic Rebranding

Max Life Insurance, Axis Max Life Insurance

Axis Max Life Insurance Ltd., formerly known as Max Life Insurance Company Ltd., has officially rebranded itself, marking a significant milestone in its corporate journey. The new identity, which integrates “Axis” into its name, reflects a strengthened alignment with Axis Bank, one of its key partners in the insurance space. This rebranding follows the necessary corporate and regulatory approvals, including a fresh certificate of incorporation issued by the Registrar of Companies on December 12, 2024.

Analjit Singh-promoted Max Financial Services Ltd (MFSL), which holds an 81% stake in the company, noted that this move underscores the insurer’s evolution and ambition to expand its presence beyond metro and tier-1 cities. Axis Bank currently holds a 19.02% stake in the company, which is expected to increase to 20%.

Prashant Tripathy, MD & CEO, Axis Max Life Insurance said, “The refreshed identity represents more than a change in our brand name—it is a bold step forward in our commitment to redefine the life insurance landscape. Our renewed identity embodies our firm promise to deliver exceptional value to all our stakeholders. With Axis now an integral part of our identity, we are well-positioned to capitalize on new opportunities and accelerate our growth by expanding our distribution network, enhancing customer touchpoints, and delivering digitally empowered services. Together, we are confident in achieving our vision of ranking among the top three life insurers in India.”

The rebranding aligns with the company’s growth strategy to enhance customer touchpoints, expand its distribution network, and leverage digitally empowered services.

The company’s ‘Double Bharosa’ campaign, featuring Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma and his spouse Ritika Sajdeh, further reinforces the message of trust and reliability. This strategic brand transformation is expected to propel Axis Max Life Insurance’s growth trajectory, especially in underserved markets, while solidifying its position in India’s competitive insurance sector.
