India’s leading digital lending platform Lendingkart’s Chief Operating Officer Mukul Sachan has resigned from the company, as per the reports in the English daily Economic Times.
Sachan had co-founded the company for small businesses in 2014. He was leading the Data Science team to design the analytics based on the credit model by using the proxy variables. He was also looking at the operations and maintenance of healthy business metrics for the company.
Sachan has worked in diverse fields, from being a Scientist in the Indian Space Research organisation to the Chief Financial Officer for a leading hospitality group.
He holds a degree in Bachelors of Electronics & Communication Engineering, and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
“With less than 2.5 percent stake in the firm after its latest funding round, he could move to a mentoring role and remain associated with Lendingkart as a founding shareholder,” the sources said.
“Sachan has been on a sabbatical for the past six months and wants to pursue interests outside Lendingkart; he has also started discussions with investors to start his own company,” said one of the sources to ET.
