Praful Rajpopat Appointed Chief Credit Officer at Fedfina

Mumbai, August 21, 2026: Fedbank Financial Services Ltd (Fedfina) has appointed Praful Rajpopat as Chief Credit Officer, strengthening its credit and risk leadership as the company continues to expand its lending operations.

Rajpopat brings more than two decades of leadership experience across the banking and NBFC sectors, with expertise spanning credit underwriting, risk management and digital transformation. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a PGDBM from Emeritus Institute of Management, Singapore.

Before joining Fedfina, Rajpopat held senior leadership positions across Federal Bank, SMFG India Credit, Tyger Housing Finance and Credit Saison India. Through these roles, he has contributed to strengthening credit frameworks, improving portfolio quality and developing risk management capabilities.

His experience across both banking and non-banking financial institutions is expected to support Fedfina’s focus on maintaining disciplined credit practices while scaling its lending business.

As Chief Credit Officer, Rajpopat will play a key role in shaping the company’s credit underwriting strategy, portfolio risk management and credit governance framework. His experience in digital transformation is also expected to be relevant as financial institutions increasingly adopt technology-driven approaches to credit assessment and risk management.
