Southeast Asia’s one of the largest Data Centre is now in Andhra Pradesh

Making a landmark in the history of storage mechanisms, Andhra Pradesh has received its Data Centre of international standard, which is also the largest of its kind in the Southeast Asia.

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Pi DATACENTERS in IT Park at Mangalagiri.

The entire setup of this Data Centre is worth Rs 600 crore.

“It will be one of the largest Data centres in Southeast Asia. Mangalagiri will become a mini Ameerpet in future. Data centres will build artificial intelligence and analytics,” said Nara Lokesh, IT Minister, while expressing his happiness for bringing Pi DATACENTERS to the state.

The minister has recently inaugurated Pi Care Software in Mangalagiri.

“With the launch of this Data Centre, the company will provide employment opportunities to more than 1,300 software professionals,” said Muppaneni Kalyan, Chief Executive Officer, Pi DATACENTERS.

The inauguration programme has been reportedly attended by more than 300 CXO level executives.

In an exclusive conversation with Elets News Network (ENN) in the month of February, Debmalya Dey Roy, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Pi DATACENTERS said that the Data Centre in Andhra Pradesh would be a 5 Lakhs sq.ft infrastructure, with 5,000 racks capacity, spread across 10 acres. The Data Centre would be UPTIME certified TIER IV and TIA 942 compliant. The facility would ensure a world-class experience for the customers.
